Well happy 4th of July to you all. I know the fourth is over but hey what do you want from me. I will give you the big updates from the last week here on the home front. Well let's see.....Kristena is pregnant(oh that's right I already said that).....I am fat(no that's not new news either)......Oh how about my dad and Loretta came to visit. Now that is real news. They got here on Sunday evening. I must say that having them here was great but a little weird. I don't ever remember him ever coming to see me no matter where I lived. But I think Kristena had it right when she said that they were not here to see us but here to see the kids. As a matter of fact they kicked us out of our own house so they could watch the kids for the evening. Actually that was a great help we actually got to get out for a little while and Tyler and Kaitlyn got to get to know dad and Loretta a little better. By the time they left Tyler had already started looking for them everywhere. He believes that his grandparents and great grandparents are at various locations around the city. Kristena's grandparents are sitting at Wendy's somewhere, my grandparents are at a Chuck E. Cheese, my dad and Loretta are at IHOP. He has not realized yet that grandma Jones is at Bob Evans all the time : )
We took the kids all 2.2 of them to the Fourth of July fireworks at a place near us called Moosehaven. I don't know why they called it that but I did not see any meese or moose's as Kristena just corrected me. The closest thing we saw was some people that should have worn more to cover themselves. I understand that it was 90+ degrees but should we not realize the rest of the world must look at whatever we decide to let drop, hang or drag out of our clothes. Anyway this was really nice event they had tons of little booths with stuff that you could buy and leave in your trunk (like my mom) until you attend the next family reunion or have your next garage sale. They also had the typically fair food which looked really good and I learned something new. Cotton candy melts. I did not know that. But it was really hot and I was walking back with Kaitlyn's cotton candy it was getting smaller and smaller until finally what started out as a larger beehive like my grandma use to wear back in the 70's into the something that resembled blue sticky snot. Kaitlyn and Tyler loved it, but as it was melting it dripped all over me. And as learned during the fireworks ants will eat human flesh if it is covered in sticky cotton candy. The ants thought I was a buffet and I have the scars to prove it. Well the fireworks were great Kristena and I really enjoyed them, the kids however had mixed reviews. Let's just say that Kaitlyn is always excited when we talk about going and then cowers during the entire show. The booms always make her run for cover usually right to mommy. Tyler last year loved them but this year was a different story. Before they even started he turned to Kristena and said "Momma, fireworks get me." Even though we assured him that they would not he did not take our word for it. Once the show started he seemed to be okay he laid on Kristena and watched the show. Then about halfway through he covered his eyes and that was the last thing he saw for the rest of the night until we were back in the van. For the hour and half after the show he sat in the stroller and in the van with his hands over his eyes. We could not convince him to put them down. It was so cute. Anyway enjoy the shots for our fourth of July.
*********Pregnancy Food Update***********
Well as I said before my dad and Loretta kicked us out of the house so Kristena and I decided to go out to dinner. We had several choices for the evening but Kristena and baby orange(he or she has grown since my last post) decided on Longhorn steakhouse. Well it all went bad once she looked at the menu. I could tell she was not into it from the moment she opened the menu. I even said why don't we go somewhere else. But we agreed to split a steak and luckily I ordered some fries as an extra side. I say luckily because once the food arrived it was all over. She wanted nothing to do with the food. She said the steak looked and smelled gross(actually see said smelled like poop) and all she would eat was the fries. Once I finished trying to eat all that food we had to cover it with a white napkin like it was a dead body. The waiter was I assumed new something was wrong and asked us if there was something under the napkin that he did want to see. I tried to explain it to him but he seemed to be a bit of a snot so I gave up. So we have added Longhorn to the list of places we cannot eat at. Other than that everything seems to be going right on schedule.
Well that is it for now. We have busy fall planned included what I hope is another Disney cruise, another trip to Texas and mom, Kim, Wayne and their kids coming down for Thanksgiving, and a trip to Disney world. Kristena has offered to let them all stay here but they have decided that they will stay closer to the beach. We are really disappointed but somehow we will overcome our disappointment and make it a great Thanksgiving. So happy July 6th to you all. And my next entry will be my Birthday salute to TOM!!!!!!

The pictures are awesome, I feel like I am missing so much. Each night well not everynight I see Sam and Josh and they do the craziest things, and I know you are experiencing those same things.
Give the kids a big hug for me. It will be interesting to see the new baby and how the other two interact. Call me.
Love mom
"he seemed to be a little bit of a snot..." HA! What is it with waiters lately. Isn't there something called CUSTOMER service?? We had the rudest waitress at Bob Evans the morning of the fourth... Must be going around!!! The pictures are adorable!! Tell Kristena we're thinking about her and praying she starts feeling better soon!
Those pictures make me feel like I am getting cheated out of watching your kids grow up. We parked about 2 miles away from the fireworks and watched the ones that went up real high and didn't have to worry about the sound. Maybe a suggestion for next year. I can't wait until Thanksgiving and I THOUGHT we were staying with you!
Looks like you had lots of fun. I must say I was a tad suprised by the Bill and Loretta visit announcement. That's cool though. For someone who gave us a good shot of comment guilt, I haven't seen your comment on my blog lately. :)
