Well as most of you know if you keep up on the blog our daughter Kaitlyn had to take a standardized test a couple of months ago as a part of her kindergarten curriculum. And much to our surprise we really stressed out about the results. Not because we thought she was not smart but because there were so many implications for such a young lady if she did not feel she did well. As it turned out we were worried for nothing. The results came back today and she did great. That ranked her in the:
- 99th percentile for word reading
- 99th percentile for sentence reading
- 97th percentile for total reading
- 93 percentile for math
- 67 percentile for sounds and letters (she only missed three out of 40) .
In other Jones family news as some of you know my mom has been in the hospital. Luckily she is okay. The downside is she will be there until her blood pressure returns to normal which for my mom has not happened since she was 15 or 16 I guess. So if you want the full story hit the link on this page to my sisters blog and she will fill you in on all of the details.
Finally, we are off to Texas in a couple of weeks. Dallas to be more specific. I got the opportunity to attend a conference there and we have been trying to get out to see Kristena's grandparents since Tyler was born. We can not beleive that it has been over 2 years since we have been back but we are looking forward to seeing them again. Her grandmother (not granny, grandma or nana but she prefers grandmother) has been really applying the guilt on Kristena over the last couple of months(really years) for us to get down there. So we are spending a couple of extra days in order to get to see her family.
Well that seems to be it for now. I leave you with this thought: What would happen if we all really did what our doctors told us to do? I guess with all of things that have happened over the last couple of days I was wondering that. So next time you let the stress of life get you all pushed over the edge take a couple of minutes to be sure you realize that nothing about your job is worth your health or your life. If it is not somewhat enjoyable and all you are is stressed maybe it is time to move on. Try something like making fries at Wendy's. It is as simple as rip bag, pour in basket, lower into grease, turn on timer, remove at the beep, salt and serve. Seems pretty easy to me... but then again I have had some pretty awful fries in my lifetime so I guess maybe even this seems stressful to somebody.

She must get her smarts from her aunt Kim. It runs in the family, we are all secretly a genius we just hide behind stupid.
I can add to following the experts advice. I would not be overweight, have high blood pressure and wheeze like a freight train. I am home and realize it is far more expensive to be sick than to be well.
Love to Kaitlyn and Tyler and thanks for checking on me to see if I was still breathing, the hospital thing was to assure I got a call from all of you for mother's day. ha
Love Mom
I'm BAACCK! I'm glad Kaitlyn's a genious. It's good to know that there is some hope for our future!
